Bundled up
We usually take Carter for a walk in the neighborhood after work. Spring hasn't been too warm yet, so Carter gets bundled up in the sleeping bag his aunt Tammy gave him.

Carter and the Exersaucer
Carter playing in the Exersaucer, and then he tries to eat the Exersaucer! He's at the point where everything goes in his mouth.

Working out a sleep schedule
Carter looks so little in his crib. Lately he's taken to sleeping on his side.
Thanks to some rather stern advice from our pediatrician, we now have Carter on set naptimes and bedtimes. We put him down in his crib at 10 a.m., 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. And so far, he really hasn't made too much of a fuss about it.

Visit to the pediatrician
Carter went to the doctor yesterday for his four month checkup and shots. He's now 26 inches tall (six inches taller than at birth) and is in the 75th percentile for height.
He weighs 14 pounds, 3 ounces, which is exactly average. His head is 44 cm around which is also in the 75th percentile.
So basically he went through a big growth spurt over the last month. He's doing all the things he's supposed to at this age: holding his head up while lying on his stomach, laughing, smiling, holding rattles and recognizing his parents' voices and faces.
So everything's looking good. Then yesterday afternoon we got the exersaucer in the mail. Carter loves it! A big thank you to Carter's Nanny in Arizona for the gift. It's another good way to keep him occupied during the day.
