One of the things I love most about the blog (and the books I'm making out of it) is that it keeps a record of the little things. Instead of wondering, "What was Carter's first movie theater movie? And did he like it?" We can refer to this post. And it's a good thing too, because his first movie was entirely forgettable:

There are good kids' movies (Cars, Madagascar) and so-so ones (Kung Fu Panda) and then ones so overwhelmingly awful that not even the exhilaration of being at the movies for the first time with your little guy can overcome the wretchedness. Ice Age 3 is one of those movies.
Carter watched closely for more than an hour, and then he started wandering around the seats in our row (which were empty) and then around the aisles. So we left early, which triggered an enormous tantrum and screams of "I want to go back to the movie!"
