Carter started at The Goddard School today. He walked right in and held up his lunchbox for everyone to see. (Handy Manny lunchbox, of course.)
He started playing, and after about 15 minutes came over to me and said, "Mommy, don't you go to work?" OK, I took the hint and left. His teachers said he didn't cry at all and seemed to enjoy himself.
There were four other kids in his class, and two teachers. Fantastic ratio, and it makes me happy since ratio is about the top thing for me.
Goddard is the most expensive day care center here. Not happy about that, but I understand that we're paying for the low ratio.
Anyway, here's what Carter did today. The theme of the week is "Name that dinosaur!"
--
Storytime: "How do Dinosaurs say good night?" book
--
Yoga: Did the "Flying" yoga pose
--
Sign Language: Learned the sign for "dirt"
--
Craft: Made dinosaur tracks with a pipe cleaner and paint
*I would prefer that Carter learn Spanish instead of sign language. I may suggest that after a while.*
