The two of us went to this museum in San Diego. It wasn't really that fun. But there was a small kids' section that produced some nice pictures:

Tidepools

We decided to take the kids to the tidepools in La Jolla, where they could see tiny crabs, snails and shells in the water. I picked up a little crab and held it for them to see, and they were as amazed and bewildered as you would expect. This is a really fun activity to do in San Diego.

First trip to Disneyland

I really wasn't planning to take Carter to Disneyland this early, but we had free tickets so why not. We stayed 13 hours. Carter had fun, but on scary rides like Pirates of the Caribbean he was literally shaking next to us. He was also terrified of all the costumed figures, and wouldn't go anywhere near Mickey Mouse. But he had a great time on It's a Small World and all the driving rides.
