Carter really laughs hard with his dad. Not so much with his mom, though! See below for some video of the kid cracking up like nobody's business.

Starting to get teeth

Carter's first teeth are just starting to come in. You can kinda see them in this picture....

Almost there...

We've been helping Carter practice sitting up every day, and he's almost there. He can sit up on his own for a few seconds and then slumps forward or sideways. Maybe about another month and he'll be ready.

California beaming

Carter just heard that he's going to become a California baby soon.

Squealing baby

Carter has learned how to squeal, and he practices all the time. It sounds like screeching brakes meets starving baby monkey. He let loose at full volume today at Target, scaring away customers and summoning neighborhood dogs. See below for some video:

Carter's first food

Well, I guess you can call it food. We gave Carter his first spoons of rice cereal today. He seemed to like it! We have video of his first bites below, under the picture.

Hooray for Friday!

Mini Cooper guy

Carter has begun drooling so much that he has to wear bibs all day. An early sign of teething, I think. Luckily he has a very stylish Mini Cooper bib from our next door neighbors.

Fun in Phoenix

We had a great time in Phoenix. Carter went to his first baseball game (Mets beat the Diamondbacks) and his parents got to go see a movie (Spiderman 3) for the first time in six months. Carter also had fun hanging out with his cousins, Grant and Ava.

One more nap

Carter's getting one last nap in before we leave for Arizona this afternoon. We'll be there through Sunday, and Carter's going to get lots of attention. Rest up!
